Our Leadership
Kevin Kertes
Kevin Kertes has music industry experience spanning more than 30 years. After graduating from NYU with a Master's Degree in Music Education, he spent 12 years at Sony Music. Holding various radio promotion roles at Columbia Records, The Work Group, 550 Music, and Epic Records. In 2003 he joined NewLine Records as VP, Promotion. Eventually, the role evolved into VP of Digital Operations, handling all digital music operations for what would become WaterTower Music. WaterTower Music is the home to soundtracks that include The Harry Potter Series of films, Hairspray, Game of Thrones, and the Academy and Grammy award-winning Joker soundtrack.
Chris Davies
With over 30 years in the music business, Chris Davies first got his start in high school managing bands, including Blues Traveler. Through college, he was on the executive board of the university's radio station, WRIU. Chris graduated with a BS in Management and moved to Boston, becoming immersed in the rock music scene. Shortly after, he co-founded Planetary Group, a music marketing, and radio promotions company. While at Planetary, he also managed a few bands, including Brendan Benson, Longwave, and Passion Pit. After moving to LA, Chris co-founded Bulletproof Bear, a production music catalog, in 2016. Since then, Bulletproof Bear has grown to over 100,000 tracks serving the Film, Television, advertising, and corporate markets. Chris also co-founded a set of post-production companies based in LA and Burbank, Central Post LA, and Institution Post.
